The "Keeper of the Dream" Scholarship was established to increase
SUNY Fredonia's recruitment, retention and graduation rate of students
in general, and particularly underrepresented racial and ethnic groups
- African American, Latino/a, Asian American and Native American. The
scholarship program is structured to nurture students with strong academic
records through the transition to college, the development of leadership
skills and career exploration. Additionally, the program stresses student
leadership and a commitment to cultural pluralism.
